Like many of you, I imagine, I’ve spent the last 7 weeks doing a lot of processing.
Trying to understand my place in a world that feels like it’s changing too rapidly to keep pace. Trying to understand where I’ve been part of the problems our society is facing, inadvertently complicit in systems of injustice and oppression. Trying to understand how I can actively participate in solutions moving forward.
There’s a question that keeps bubbling up for me, and it’s one I want to share with you:
If my work, and the way I do my work, could be an act of resistance, what would I be doing differently?
It’s a question that has challenged me to take a hard look at many aspects of my life: our work is not just what we get paid for, but also the work of relationships. The work of community and self-care and how we tend to our material resources.
